May 21, 2011, Chinese artist Wu Xiaoshen's solo exhibition "Alive" has been opened at For Art Gallery in M50 Shanghai on time, which is planned by Australian independent curator Jenny Gu. The exhibition "Alive" is exhibiting Wu Xiaoshen’s new works in latest years, and the duration is for one month (from 21.05.2011 to 19.06.2011). Artist pays more attention on contemporary Chinese people’s living condition, and he uses the brush to explain how they are alive; What the world gives to “them”; and how they reflect on the world gives. Artist put the following states together and he has no intention to deduce: war, peace, three meals every day; busy changes of life; pressure, struggling distress……they look seemingly irrelevant. However this is the life, and they are alive.
Wu Xiaoshen was born in 1972 Shanghai, member of Shanghai Artist Association. He graduated from Shanghai University, Faculty of fine arts, major in oil painting. As a professional artist since 1998, Wu Xiaoshen’s works have been exhibited in Switzerland, Netherlands, France, Korean, Japan, etc. His works have been collected by the public, private collectors, and enterprises.
