在如今英伦朋克热潮中，Thirteen Sense的音乐还是让人眼前一亮的。在漫天70s-80s的合成器复古声浪中，单纯美好的旋律和原音钢琴变成了最奢侈的浪漫享受。和Keane一样，他们用钢琴做主要配器，虽没有Keane那么顿挫有力，但加上柔和的吉他贝斯，增添了一分细腻。主唱Will South的嗓音虽然不象Keane主唱那般惊艳，但也柔美清澈的可以，每次聆听都会被新的细节感动。要说有些作品也不失波澜壮阔的感觉，只是没有表现的那么张扬，而是更多内敛。
Thirteen Sense乐队成员四人都来自英格兰的cornwall, Will South是乐队的主唱，同时负责部分吉他和键盘的演奏，Tom Welham为乐队的吉他手，另外两名是bass手Adam Wilson和鼓手Brendon James。四人在学院结识后组建了thirteen senses,初期主要是在英格兰的西南部做一些小的演出。2003年12月，thirteen senses进驻伦敦，开始了真正意义的乐队生涯。
2004年的3月乐队发表他们的首张单曲《Thru The Glass》（05年的一月这张单曲再版发行）。之后第二张单曲唱片《Do No Wrong》的发表可以算作成功的后继，但第三张单曲唱片《into the fire》的发表才算是为thirteen senses的发展彻底铺平了道路。《into the fire》也成为thirteen senses目前最红的热门单曲。
