we are american=we are war refugees that left our homeland behind
was watching a tv documentary showcase, hosting by lisa ling, called take out, which is an asian-american culture forward food documentary that tells immigrants' stories.
interestingly to find that basically most of the asian that came to america for a better life were who actually suffered from war, then when ever stepping onto the land of the united states, they became the new immigrants, and also were the war refugees.
actually no shame on war refugees, is just that sounds quite ironic when america is sending their soldiers all around asia-pacific for so-called defending our homeland, and the asian-americans are voting for the government that made such decision. did they just forget the reason why they were in and new land?
also not only asian-american who found their new journey on the land of america were the war refugees, but those early white people that started life in the united states were escaping europe's wars and poverty as well.
now that, if using a brand new perspective to re-examine america history, is that also a war refugees' history?
