雅思口语话题:喜欢的花Describe a flower that you like.
You should say:
What flower it is
What it looks like
Where this flower usually grows
Where you have seen this flower
And explain why you like it
考官参考范文:
Ok then, well the flower I’m gonna talk about is the rose, which I know is not a very original choice, but in my view it really is the nicest-looking flower, at least out of all the ones I know anyway!
And in terms of why I think that, well, if you’ve never seen a rose before, which I seriously doubt (!), um, I think what basically sets it apart from most other flowers is that it has many layers of petals, which create a really nice effect. I can’t think of any other way to put it! And as I’m sure you know, you can get all different colours of roses, like red, pink, yellow, …, although I’d have to say that red ones are definitely my favourite, simply because I think they look the most romantic!
Anyway, going on to where roses actually grow, well I’m not all that sure to be honest with you, but I suppose they can grow anywhere really, as long as they have air, sunlight and a bit of water of course, like all plants!
And as for where I’ve seen them, well off the top of my head, I guess it’s really the typical kinds of places that you’d expect to see flowers, you know, like florists, weddings and places like that. And I think it’s fair to say that roses are among the most popular flowers people like to buy, so pretty much every flower store I’ve come across has sold them.
But anyway, what else haven’t I mentioned……um……oh yeah, I think one final thing to mention is that, apart from looking nice, they also smell really nice, which is another reason why I like them so much!
