 I will try to create a comfortable learning environment based on respect instead of fear. In order to achieve that, I must build strong rapport with my students so that all of us can learn in a conducive and fun environment.
This course will focus on common and inventive mold making practices for replication, duplication and image material transfer. Coursework will involve instruction in all manner of mold making, including - Identifying the various advantages of molds and cast imagery - Mold types from basic to complex Mold making strategies and there connections to ideas - through exploring notions of replicating, serial imagery, edition production, material conversion. The course will help the student develop skills that will help them use molds to develop ideas and imagery. They will also learn about the historical/ traditional history of molds of many kinds through exposure to both artistic and industrial examples.
