Far right are all people-haters, only they disguise themselves as mob-haters. By slandering against people, they try to interpret democracy as a means wielded by the people in defiance of the civilization as we know it.
This is wrong, because democracy is not unchecked power, it is not the fountain of legitimacy in modern political practice. DEMOCRACY IS ONLY THE BUSINESS END OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL LAW, the later predates the former. It is the constitution that confers democratic right on the people alongside the political power it vests in the government to maintain peace and foster prosperity for the common good.
When we talk about democracy we should not overlook the fact that it comes AFTER constitution, it is part of the social contract that makes it complete, not the ultimate weapon by the mobs to overpower the minorities.
If we deny democracy, we in actuality deprive people of their last resort to uphold their civil rights, viz., we send an invitation for civil disobedience.
Freedom cannot be defined simply as private property right, freedom is not about ownership, it is first and foremost a kind of value, a kind of value that is shared by the people to live the way the live and they should not be ashamed of it, a kind of value to defend their lifestyle, to fight for it, when it is being encroached upon by a varieties of tyrannies from home or abroad.
极右派（极端保守派）都仇视人民，只是他们把自己伪装成仇视暴民。他们通过污蔑群众，试图把民主解释为人民挑战文明时利用的手段。
这是错误的，因为民主并非不加抑制的权力，也不是现代政治实践合法性的来源。民主仅仅是宪政法律发挥效力的部分，后者先于前者。是宪法授予人民民主权利，伴随着归属于政府的政治权利，为了共同的的利益维护社会的和平与繁荣。
当我们谈到民主，不应忽略民主在宪法之后出现的事实，民主作为社会契约的一部分使宪法完备，而不是暴民用来压倒少数派的终极武器。
如果我们否认民主，实际上就剥夺了人民捍卫其公民权利的最后依托，换言之，等于激起民众的反对。
自由不能被简单的定义为私有财产权，自由不是拥有权，它首先是一种人民共享的，按照自己的方式生活而不应因此而羞愧的价值观，当这一价值受到内外的各种强权势力侵害时，人们会为之而战斗！
