The teasing temperature of the past three days brought me closer to the summer than the actual season. A season I can never fathom, even in its pseudo facet. Standing at a place not too far from the room I absorbed the last round of heat, I witnessed the expansion of air molecules, as everything slowly gaining their longevity through its sunlit exposure. A sense of reminiscent awaited me. All the preceding summers crept out of the box; I felt the resurfacing of something dormant and enduring, like ghosts that have never died down. I had the chance to roam through the age of infancy, adolescence, and the time of yesterday. Before too long, I stumbled upon a fan owned by my grandfather. Its surface was adorned with dust, not willing to be blown away by the delicate wind. Any resistance to the heat seems to be futile, besides counting on the shoulders of those I have lain beside, who always enshrined me in a place away from the latent monstrosity. Numerous moments and locales could have arrested me in that instance, yet they all merged together, indistinguishable. The heat had smashed everything all into one, unlike the time I was born——things solidified into their mutable form, and refuse to last for more than a brief second.
