LaBuse 添加 A Flight Through Obscurity 到豆列 2026 The Best Metal on Bandcamp
2026年5月 In four short years, the one-person project Veneficus Sarcina has amassed a sizable and impressively varied discography. In his Anachronisms series, the musician known as Sorcerer Sarcina records his own black metal and dungeon synth arrangements of early and medieval music, while the rest of his releases tend toward a kind of blackened NWOBHM sound. There’s already a lot of catalog to explore, but new LP A Flight Through Obscurity is as a good a place to start as any. This is Veneficus Sarcina at its most heavy metal, with hearty nods to black ‘n’ roll-era Satyricon and I’s Between Two Worlds, as well as a hint of the early 2000s moment when melodeath and metalcore were grazed by emo’s bullet. (Peep the histrionics of “My Endless Tragedy.”) The production is excellent for its milieu, gritty but not buried in noise, making A Flight Through Obscurity approachable even for the raw black metal skeptic. Give it a shot.
