This is creepy.
But I'll try to make it less so.
I'm an English graduate.
I think I'm quite good at using this language,
after all I've spent 3/4 of my life at least to study it.
I can't really complain about my current job,
I like what I do and I get paid for it.
I'm grateful for that.
But then I realize
that I haven't really 'spoken' this language
for at least 5 years
since my Swiss friend at college
went back to Switzerland.
We write to each other
but we don't get to talk
because she's not into modern stuff such as Skype.
This is sad.
I just want to have a normal conversation.
I used to go to one of those 'English Corners' in Beijing,
the one in RUC, which starts at 7:00 every Friday,
I don't know if it still does,
I haven't been there for quite a while
because I usually work late on Fridays.
And more sadly that I found
there's no place now to have a real chat
in a second language that I've worked so hard to learn.
Feels like a downer, if you'd ask me.
Anyway, I'll just leave my wechat ID here: maxhorowits.
Anyone who's interested in having a conversation, orally preferred, in English,
please feel free to contact me, and please indicate 'English chat'.
P.S. I repeat PLEASE indicate 'English Chat' while so kindly contacting me, and, I won't be speaking Chinese.
