Self-reliance is a word one can encounter repetitively in the works of Henry James, a talent of literacy of the United States, which also caters to my value of life. Since childhood, I have been managing to be self-sufficient in the hope of growing up as a self-made man. So far, i can say i have done it. As well as learning to live on my own, I pay equal attention to one of the essential elements - initiative, that is, to do things of my own accord. In overcoming a barrier, being tenacious is a must, which is just like hammering out a deal with a fresh client, i have to act as an upright citizen. In terms of working attitude, i always try to be down-to-earth instead of being arty or unpractical. Bit by bit, i will be well under way to the leading position of my area, hopefully setting the benchmark for the acquisition of a foreign language.
Looking around, I do from time to time have a discovery of versatile guys, Renaissance men or women and people who excel in a wide range of fields. More often than not, such sages deserve owning a large following simply due to their rare existence. Each and every day, I bury myself with a large bunch of errands in my office, longing to become a go-getter by holding high the dream of going from rags to riches. Living in a rat-race society, i am fully conscious of the need to reach the people from all walks of life because choosing to be secluded would lead me nowhere but a dead end. Self-discipline is also a subject very close to my heart but I realize at times that perfection should not be all of our life and a sense of progress makes greater sense. Even discipline needs to be disciplined.
