    revolt: rebell, fight against
    近:rebell 反:be obedient to, submit to, fall into sb’s wishes
    e.g. people revolted against foreign rule and established their own government.

    subvert: to destroy (power or influence)
    e.g. the rebel army is attempting to subvert the government

    disdain: regard sb. inferior
    近:distaste revulsion 反:respect
    e.g. the older musicians disdain the new, rock-influenced music.

    wretchedness: misery, misfortune, pity
    近:unpleasant 反:lucky, hapiness
    e.g. the people lived in wretched conditions with no running water.

    impeccable: perfect, no defect
    反:impeachable (?)
    e.g. she was impeccably dressed.

    mischievous: naughty; vicious
    反:well-behaved; kind
    e.g.She has a mischievous sense of humour.
    e.g.I think these rumours are mischievous.

    complacency: a feeling of calm satisfaction with your own abilities or situation that prevents you from trying harder
    e.g.There's no room for complacency if we want to stay in this competition!

    annulled: annouce sth. ineffective
    近:invalid 反:(?)
    e.g.His second marriage was annulled because he never divorced his first wife.

    sinister: ominous
    e.g.The ruined house had a sinister appearance.
