Just imagine. The TV is blaring away in one room, the radio is turned up high in another - and next door a dog is barking. Not that you can hear it above the sound of the motorbike outside your window. If you can't quieten things down or go somewhere more conducive to contemplation, you must at least get some earplugs. You are now being driven to distraction by various noisy ideas and overwhelming impulses. Some are yours, some belong to those around you. The peace you seek will not come through paying all this more attention but by recognising that none of your problems are as important as they seem.
Are you allowed to be happy? Will something go horribly wrong if you start to enjoy a situation that seems to be turning out well? Must you keep careful track of everyone and everything in case the wrong move is made? Not unless you want to end up a nervous wreck! You are, though, in no danger of letting apprehension carry you away. Provided you now keep an eye on progress (or the lack of it) within a crucial sector of your world, you will be ready, this week, to take action where appropriate. You will also be able to identify the areas in which no action need be taken. By and large, the right things are happening automatically.
They say, 'If it doesn't come naturally, you should leave it.' But what do they know? Little in this modern world comes naturally. To get food on to your table, an internet link to your computer, words into your newspaper, software into your computer, even a cushion on to your chair, someone, somewhere has had to make a real effort. Aren't you glad that they did? It's fine this week, to strive for success. And in your emotional life too, you will be waiting a long time for a comforting development unless you now set out to engineer one. When you see real opportunities this week, you should trust them... and seize them.
Nothing in this world lasts forever. If that's a sad thought with regard to some aspects of life, it is a deeply comforting one with regard to others. You can now draw inspiration from the inevitably temporary nature of a particular situation. It may be due to go on longer than you want it to - but it cannot go on ad infinitum. Accept this and become philosophical about what you may just have to put up with for a little while longer. One day, sooner than you think, current trouble will be nothing but a memory. Recognising this and refusing to overreact will significantly help you to bring forward the day when it's all just a part of the past.
Cooks, explorers and jazz musicians know how to improvise. As long as they are sure enough of a basic structure, they can depart from (and return to) it at will. Folk who make things up on the spur of the moment are only likely to end up lost when they extemporise on a theme that they are not so familiar with. Be reassured as you now consider your options or the lack of them. You have, for some while, been keen to play with an interesting idea. Circumstances so far, though, have not made this feasible. But now the fundamental factors are in place and it is finally safe to start creating a little spontaneous magic.
As film and photography enthusiasts know, lighting can make a world of difference to the mood of a picture. A street at dusk looks slightly daunting. The same road a few hours later seems dark and mysterious. Shoot it in broad daylight it seems safe and inviting. In one way, nothing much is different from the world you inhabited just a few weeks ago. In another, it is hardly recognisable as the same place. Saturn may be due to return to your sign for a short while next year - but by then you'll be ready for it. Meanwhile, you've got some real psychological sunshine to bask in. Focus on the light, not the shadow.
Perhaps you feel a little like someone who is standing on an open sandy beach, unable to build so much as a sandcastle lest the wind blows it down or the tide sweeps it away. There's more to your situation than this, though. In the distance there's a sea-wall, behind which you have all the equipment you need to build a sturdy shelter to protect you from the elements. Soon you'll be free to go and get what you need, put it together and then relax. First, though, you have to identify the spot on which you want to place your new safe structure. Be less afraid of what could go wrong and more willing to look for solutions this week.
Your strength is being sapped by someone or something. The temptation is to take a bold initiative and confront the apparent source of the problem. That, though, is a like walking right up to some rampaging dragon, clutching a local-area smoke suppression notice. Even in the unlikely event of this beast being able to read and the even more unlikely event of it being willing to obey the law, it will burn you with the flame from its mouth as it starts to apologise! There are times when it's appropriate to tackle trouble and times when it's wiser to wait till you've got what you need to back you up. That's not cowardice, it's wisdom.
There's more to life than money, popularity, fame and power - and, hard though it is for some to believe, there's even more to life than romance. Though we fantasise about being wealthy, looked up to or loved, what we actually want is to be secure, strong, self-contained and content. Our yearning for such an experience is the driving force behind our every move. We seek this when we are happy and when we are sad - yet it often seems that, the more we seek it, the more it eludes us. That's because we imagine it only lies in status or circumstance. But if you seek honesty, simplicity and faith this week, all the rest will come.
Don't allow yourself to feel threatened by anyone or anything this week. You are now like someone who has just run a marathon. You are physically drained but mentally still prepared to keep pushing on. It hasn't yet sunk in that the race is over and the pressure is off. In the war against a recurring source of stress, you have recently won your biggest battle so far, even if you don't yet realise it. Coming events should show you how far things have moved on. You'll feel far better in a few days. Or, at least, you will - provided you remember that you are now fully entitled to relax. But only if you now try to do so will the sky assist you.
Is someone else having a better time than you are? If that's what you suspect, it's automatically, inevitably true. OK. Take a deep breath. I'm about to explain this statement in a long sentence! Anyone, anywhere on this earth who ISN'T worried about whether someone else is doing better than they are is always going to be doing better than the person who is worrying about it! You don't want to trade places with anyone else this week. You want to enjoy what you've got and to give yourself wholeheartedly to what you're doing. If you must make comparisons, take a good look at those you really don't envy... and be glad.
Are you beginning to regret a rather hasty decision that you reached recently? And, if so, may I ask what is it that you really rue? The choice itself or the speed at which you came to it? Whilst you may have been a little quick off the mark, you were probably acting in a most appropriate fashion. Arguably, if you had not seized the moment, you would have lost the impetus. You have nothing to feel ashamed of or guilty about now. There is only one direction to proceed in this week - and that's forward to a pleasing development that gives rise to the sense of reassurance and vindication you so much deserve.
