5.2You spend a substantial portion of your life at work. Why not make that time as professionally and personally rewarding and fulfilling as possible?A job that you love gives you extra motivation to meet your goals, and when you do, the sense of accomplishment is outstanding. If you are passionate about your job, you are likely to take an active interest in learning every aspect of the business. This not only sets you on the path toward success, it also helps you get through the daily grind

We're all better remembering what interests us. Few people have a difficult time remembering the names of the people they find attractive.Eating a healthy, balanced diet is also important. Your body needs lots of different nutrients in order to work right and when you don’t have those nutrients, it can be hard to focus and absorb information. When you don’t get enough sleep, your brain doesn’t work as well and all the studying in the world isn’t going to make a difference.

    5.4
You can do some creative writing when you're feeling bored. A little of that can be personally challenging and result in lessening your boredom.Learning a new skill is great if you find yourself getting bored on a regular basis. Devoting yourself to a new hobby or craft will give you the promise of many busy hours to come. You can grab coffee with a friend. You don't have to spend a ton of money to simply chat with your friend over a cup of coffee, and good conversation can be a great means to lessen boredom.

5.6: Saying please and thank you shouldn’t be reserved for the company. Manners are important – even with the person you’ve been with for 20 years.Being alone, meeting new friends, or enjoying adventures without your partner can be very empowering. Ultimately, you will return to your partner energized, enthusiastic- and more in love than ever.If the hubby always drives, why not switch it up next week, so she can take the wheel? Or if she always cooks, why not suggest a few meals prepared by him?

    第二周(5.8-5.12)
    5.8
Playing video games acts as a stress reliever. Users or gamers, are transported into virtual worlds which are often more exciting and engaging than real-life pastimes.

Games encourage imagination, logical thinking, and problem solving, all of which are useful skills outside the gaming context.

Computer simulation games can improve users’ motor skills and help to prepare them for real-world tasks, such as flying a plane or driving a car.
    5.9
If you live in a major city that offers the option of traveling by subway, you’re in luck.

Although you may at first miss the freedom of traveling in your automobile, you’ll soon discover that subway transit can be far superior.

In cities where congestion is an issue, subway travel is much quicker than other modes of transportation.

Subway travel is extremely green. It's environmentally friendly because subways don't emit harmful exhaust fumes into the air.

    5.10
Salad makes a substantial contribution to disease prevention, healthy weight and youthful energy – and who isn’t interested in a bit more energy and vitality?

Your leafy greens and raw veggies are a superb source of natural fiber, and consuming enough fiber each day has a lot of health advantages.

It’s important to eat a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, in as many different colors as possible. Combining them in a salad is both easy and delicious.

    5.11
It is becoming more and more popular to serve western-style birthday cakes, but long noodles are traditionally eaten by the person celebrating his or her birthday.

The noodles are meant to be slurped until no more can be stuffed into a person’s mouth before they are bitten.

It’s not actually all that common to have a birthday party just for the kids where they get to go and play around somewhere with their friends in school. It's more of a family thing.

    5.12
One serious problem that can arise from people socialising online is that it can lead to isolation.
Before the internet, people would frequently go out to meet friends, for example in cafes, bars or restaurants, whereas now people prefer to stay at home alone, chatting online.

People can assume fake identities online as well as hide their true characteristics. This is particularly concerning for teenagers who are impressionable and can easily be led into dangerous situations.

    第三周(5.15-5.21)
    5.15 big cities
Finding a wide variety of restaurant choices is all but impossible in a small rural area, but big cities offer countless options when it comes to international cuisine.

In an area containing millions of people, finding a social event to attend is never difficult. There is unlimited potential for social interactions in the city on a daily basis.

Medical care in rural areas simply cannot compete with the options available in a big city. A city dweller gets to receive the highest caliber of medical care without traveling hours from your home.

    5.16 children using computers
In today's world, computers are an essential part of everyday life and children who use the computer daily are actually developing a critical skill for future success.
When I was in university, students brought their laptops to class to take notes, do research and exchange information. They wrote assignments, created presentations and developed databases.
Corporations will expect prospective job applicants to already possess these critical job skills.
    5.17 disadvantages of e-books
A 2014 study found that readers who used Kindles were less competent in recalling the plot and events in the book than those who used paperbacks.
Reading on an iPad with the ability to check Facebook provides an avenue to take “breaks” way too often.
Reading an e-book before bed lessens the production of an important sleep hormone known as melatonin. As a result, people take much longer to fall asleep, experience less deep sleep, and are more fatigued in the morning.
    5.18 sportspeople
The world of sports is a multimillion dollar industry. Around the globe, people flock to sporting events or watch their favourite teams faithfully each week on television.
Teachers educate and inspire young people to be responsible citizens: their efforts produce the citizens of tomorrow.
Social workers rescue individuals facing physical, mental and psychological challenges: their intervention creates safer societies.
5.19 take a year off to travel/to work
Taking a year off allows students to do something hands-on and refreshing, which enables them to learn more about themselves and their place in the world around them.
On a personal level, students who travel away from home develop their independence and self-confidence.
A year is a long time and students could lose the good study habits and sense of discipline they had when they were in a formal academic structure
