On April 21, 2018, the Shanghai American Center and EducationUSA Shanghai will host Zholl Tablante, Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at Dartmouth College, for an information session and case study discussion of “Holistic Admissions” This interactive case study will help attendees to better understand the “Holistic Admissions” concept and how it affects college enrollment decisions. In addition, this event will promote an informed approach to understanding the work and perspective of an admissions office and the job of an admissions officer. The discussion will illuminate questions on the minds of so many students who hope to study abroad in the US, including how do admissions officers evaluate a student’s high school curriculum, GPA, recommendation letters, test scores, extracurricular activities, and the personal statement? A Q&A session will follow their presentation.
Zholl Tablante is a Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at Dartmouth College, overseeing applications from China. Focused on international recruitment, Mr. Tablante has extensive experience abroad—both as a Fulbright Hays Scholar in China and through travel to more than 50 countries. He earned a Master’s Degree from Harvard University, where he was also a teaching fellow and resident advisor.
