Alessandro Rossetto (生於 1963)，擁有義大利博洛尼亞大學 (University of Bologna)人類學學士學位，同時也是巴黎第十大學( University Paris X - Nanterre) 視覺人類學與紀錄影片的專家。過去的十年中，他擁有在歐洲著名的 ZeLIG Documentary School 授教民族誌紀錄片的經驗。而且在2010年，紐約紀錄片節還專門回顧了他的作品。
Piccola Patria (Small Homeland) 是他第一部電影長度的劇情影片，在各種國際著名電影節中獲獎無數，此部影片也曾在威尼斯電影節進行展映競逐。
Ethnography, which has been widely used in the humanities as a research method, has always played a crucial role in filmmaking too. For this masterclass we are pleased to present Director Alessandro Rossetto, experienced professor of documentary , who will share his perspective on documentary and fiction filmmaking along with methodological advices. During the seminar he will present excerpts from his latest and most known work, “Piccola Patria” (Small Homeland).

About the Director:
Alessandro Rossetto (b. 1963) holds a degree in Anthropology from the University of Bologna, plus a specialization in Visual Anthropology and Documentary from the University Paris X - Nanterre. He has been a professor of ethnographic documentary at the prestigious European ZeLIG Documentary School for the past 10 years. In 2010 the New York Documentary Film Festival dedicated a retrospective to his work.
Piccola Patria (Small Homeland) is his first feature length fiction film and was presented in competition at the Venice Film Festival, and went on to win awards at numerous international film festivals.
About Piccola Patria (Small Homeland) : in the midst of Italy's secessionist Northeast (where separatist and localist movements thrive on the cultural and economic contradictions of present-day Italy), the troubled adolescence of two girls leads to tragedy.
In cooperation with The Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong, Department of Anthropology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Anthropological Society.
The masterclass is part of the Bellissima Italia Festival 2016.
