Documentary film: <Going Home> Wang Bing We would always give our best wishes when a new life is born; however, when the end is approach, we have nothing but pain and sadness. In more developed countries, hospice care has become a major comforting power that helps the dying and the family to face death more peacefully. In China, however, it is in the very beginning. Few from the general public understand this concept, but there are pioneers. The film <Going Home> is a documentary of this group of pioneers.
Photography: "How to Grow Old" Yang Zhou Among all the human experiences, none is more universe than aging. As youngsters, we always dread the side effects brought by the years: loss of strength, loss of beauty and loss of health. But fear inspires us to know more.
The slide show includes two project: Daytime Escape: A daily document of a Daytime Caring Centre for the elderly people in which they find company and escape from the fact of being old; and "How to Grow Old": Portraits and interviews with the still active elderly people who give a positive touch of being old.
