《夺牛记》讲的是公元前５００年爱尔兰几个王国间的战斗故事，曾对西欧文明的发展产生过重要影响。该原著是用凯尔特文写成的，后翻译成英文，现将从英文翻译成中文。根据该故事情景建造的一座爱尔兰式花园——“夺牛记花园”也将在北京清华大学美术学院落成。

So far this seems to be a very nicely done translation from Kinsella's English. Regrettably, the translator seems to have been unfamiliar with the pronunciation of many of the Irish names, based on his Chinese transliterations. Still - this flows very nicely, and is a fine substitute for the copy of the Kinsella edition that I left back in the States. Louis Le Brocquy's wonderful illustrations are nicely reproduced throughout.
