安杰洛靠打泰拳维生，由于一次无心的犯规，他被冤枉地禁止参加所有的锦标赛。他在一次街头拳击赛中失手打死了挑战的拳击手，为此坐了6年牢。他出狱后穷途潦倒，但为了爱情，他接受参加一些地下拳击赛，他成为一位勇猛的拳王。
