　　单以音乐论，里面的大部分乐队和歌曲都已过时了。除了Jim Hendrix依旧卓尔不群。
　　
　　但演唱会的意义，以及摇滚音乐的意义，还是值得玩味。这个演唱会发生在法国的68风暴之后。吊诡的是，在越战发起国——美国，没有社会动乱发生，发生的仅仅是一场标榜爱与和平的演唱会。似乎是，社会给了摇滚“反叛社会”的身份，从而缴械了它与社会真刀实枪对抗的冲动。摇滚行为，和吸食大麻一样，成为以“反叛”之名行“逃避”之实的致幻剂——Purple Haze。
