　　A well-structured and comprehensive work that summurizes the most influent key concepts of Bourdieu. For those annoied by Bourdieu's dryness and abstrctness, this book provides a rather clear and organized interpretation to his English readers, and it makes a great contribution for them to understand Bourdieu's most delicate thoughts. The chapters explaining" field, habitus, capitals and practices" definitly save my time to go through Bourdieu's major books page by page.

　　仅仅陈列作者关键概念的书总觉得欠缺不少背景，也总有“接受的是别人对他的阐释”的困惑。当然先看了作者自己怎么说的，再来看能看出高低好坏，那是另一回事。
　　
　　布迪厄的原著确实难读，长句子、词语的位置置换表达的意义的微妙差别都需要费时间琢磨，但读通了读懂了会有爽快之感。布迪厄谈哲学、人类学、社会学、文学，他的新思路也就是在这种持续碰撞、杂交中诞生的。窃以为评论他评论的好的要么是和他私交甚好，能挖到不少别人拿不到的一手材料（比如Grenfell, Michael），要么评论者得了解布迪厄受惠的所有理论来源背景。
