Into The Wild / 荒野生存的评论

first things first, i dont hate it, I just don't like it. Still, I was patient enough to let him finish the movie, the story, the life of his.
I totally understand it would be so harsh or even mean for me to call that life "miserable", or "pathetic". I'm sorry. That's kind of how I felt about it.
I equally understand that a life for a child under such a smothering untruthfulness, in a family parents-corrupted and shattered could be, hard and intolerable. As intolerable it might be, let's get down to fundamental and ask the question, is it REALLY so. Is it unbearable enough that you seek to get yourself totally detached, cut off, separated from the rest of the society. Society in itself is not an illusion, a lie or a prison, as it appears to be in his head, from which he's running away desperately. It is the organization of no others, but of ourselves, of each and every one of us. It is the form we human live, and it's the very reason that we thrive. Also, it IS the thing, that we not only have to, but also need to fit ourselves in.
Why fit. Why not run away. 'Cause you can't. You, just, can't. I do not turn to cliches like to face up to the dire view of life is more valant a thing to do, or that complacently living a life that's exploited and oppressed takes more courage. I, as a child, had the very same impulse to leave home and cause my parents pain for revenge, which, I actually believe, that a lo~~~t of us conceived the same. Think of pains you'll cause in others, who, unlike in countless many other cases, love you after all, and think of responsibilities you should shoulder.
Books are a resort to turn to. They truly are in the sense that they offer us a sanctuary for our souls, a garden of Eden where we can purge and exhilarate our spirits, cheer up and then look back on the reality and become wiser and safer. We need to learn from them, to adopt the method of analysis, not to, however, get obsessed by them and hide in them as an addicted coward, as a way to chanel our frustration. At least there're two of such: to forgive by to love, no matter whom, and to not go to extremities that are so perilous, that the possibilities of get ourselves trapped and risked loom around the corner. Admittedly, keeping oneself balanced, is not easy a task. But it's so valuable, not only to keep one safe, but wise as well, that it's worth, some effort. A misreading could be dangerous. Ignorance, is power.
So, do I recommend it. well, yes and no. The movie pretty much speaks for itself, sort of slow, ease, and tedious, still. Scenes are great, of the wild and of people.
Finally, mourn and salute to the warrior, whose life might not necessarily be brave, but whose path surely is.
