这部电影讲了一件有趣的事，Daniel在父亲死后才发现他是个同性恋，一开始他当然不能接受，然而在一系列戏剧性的事故之后，他终于承认了这个事实，并且希望在座的亲友都能接受这个事实。
他这样说：
My father was an exceptional man.
He may not have been a perfect man, but he was a good man.
And he loved us.
All I wanted to do today was to give him a dignified...

Maybe...
Maybe he had some things he liked to do.
Life isn't simple. It's complicated.
We're all just thrown in here together in a world full of chaos and confusion.
A world full of questions and no answers.
With Death always lingering around the corner.
And we do our best.
We can't always do our best.
My dad did it best.
He always tried to tell me you have to go for what you want in life, because you never know how long you're gonna be here.
And whether you succeed or you fail,the most important thing is to have tried.
A parent can only drive you in the right direction.
In the end though, you've got to run for yourself.
You have to grow up yourself.
So when you leave here today, I'd like you to remember my father for what he really was.
A decent and loving man.
If only we could be as giving and generous and understanding as my father was.
Then the world would be a far better place.
这大概是电影里唯一正常的时刻，在经历里这样一个不平凡的葬礼之后，这样一番话不禁让人感慨。
而除此之外其他的情节，却充满的无厘头的搞怪，虽然有些讨巧，但并不俗套。
而演员的表演也很到位，主演是05《傲慢与偏见》的男主角，没想到他演起喜剧来也一样出色，在某种程度上，他略带忧郁的脸也许更反衬出影片的喜剧色彩。其他的配角有些面熟，有点夸张，但很合适。
电影不是一直在high的那种，而是有间隔的把一个个笑料抖出来，有点黑色幽默的味道，也许这就是英国人的特色，总的来说，很喜欢并且推荐。

比较喜欢的一部电影。一两个月前在电影院看的。温馨的黑色幽默。
尤其是有段戏，律师因吃错药而导致神经时常，跑到屋顶之后，他的爱人感人肺腑的说了一段话，让他走出了跌下楼的危险境地。
值得一看的片子。
