这个专辑是在很偶然的情况下接触到的，专辑中第七首歌Dragonfly在今年暑假的美剧Kyle XY第二季某集片尾出现，带着点淡淡的忧伤，很契合当时的剧情。给人印象十分深刻。等看完片子，到yyets的专题讨论区讨论的时候，发现很多网友提到此曲，有人热心贴上曲名和演唱者，我于是就去verycd上搜了一下，果然有，但是歌手M. Craft的名字是一点概念都没有。看介绍貌似不错，而且我求CD有一个癖好，就是专挑那些自己没听说过的，封面设计和专辑名称又略有特色的。就是这样，才接触到了这张貌似挺小众的专辑，silver & fire
第一首歌，就是同名单曲，从第一个音开始就给人眼前一亮的感觉。在此之前我已经很久没有系统地听过什么陌生专辑了，也很久没有买新CD了，虽然耳力长久未经磨练，但还是足够灵敏的。貌似用了萧和三角铁作为全曲的基本音，还有就是吉他和鼓点。歌手的音色不够明亮，但是搭配这样的曲风甚佳。也算是自成一体的风格。但是很可惜到现在还没找到此曲的歌词，单凭感觉和那句i'm the silver, you're the fire来揣测，大概也是个悲伤的故事吧。这首歌很适合这个萧瑟的季节，可以想象着落叶和秋风，清晨的熙来攘往，得而复失的无尽惆怅。
第二首要推荐的歌就是很多人都提到的You're the music，这个曲子的编曲有点复古的感觉，尤其是在它的鼓点应用上。曲末三角铁的再现与整个专辑起到很好的呼应。开车的时候听听应该是不错的选择。
另外一首，当然就是篇头提及的dragonfly了。轻柔的吉他贯穿全曲，配合演唱者喃喃自语般吟唱，孤寂的感觉油然而生，这种独语的寂寞，就像深夜的月光如水，站在星空下遥想过去和未来。
其它几首呢，就见仁见智了，不过这也算是我在今年所听的有限的数张专辑里值得一提的一张。虽然已经不是很新的作品了。
