超长的专辑名字，我印象中只有Sniead O'Conor在2003年退休发表的she who dwells in the secrst place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the alminght比这张Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not长。Sniead O'Conor的记录估计只有靠国内不按常规出牌的旺财乐队来打破了。
这是Arctic Monkeys的第一张专辑，关于这张专辑为猴子们带来的东西，只说一句，这张专辑正在打破英国首张唱片的销售记录，火爆到恐怖。
Arctic Monkeys成员平均20岁，整张专辑被搞得充满活泼好动的味道。风格大体是复古摇滚，其实就是70、80年代的摇滚乐，真正的摇滚乐。只不过到了新千年，在几乎没什么乐队甘心附庸于老土摇滚时候，玩真正的摇滚就成了复古。这么说来，Arctic Monkeys在英国大批大批Coldplay、Radiohead翻版乐队中实在难得。
美中不足的是，感觉Arctic Monkeys的老摇滚做得不够彻底，听起来好像还是很时尚。而且真正出道在70、80年代同样大红大紫过的老乐队，每张专辑里都有一两首经典到滥遍大街小巷的歌，但Arctic Monkeys好像没写出这样的歌。
这张专辑决定暂时不从电脑里删掉。
