Love Actually / 真爱至上的评论
Love Actually is my favorite film besides The Shawshank Redemption. The film talks about love while the latter one is about perseverance and determination.
Love in this film are various, it can take place between porn stars, priminister and his waitress, between two children and even gays. It is so pure and elementary to us while watching the film, you never think about how most people’s prejudce is.
"She doesn’t even know my name. And even if she did, she’d despise me. She’s the coolest girl in school and everyone worships her because she’s heaven.". Sam, a little boy, said so, while later after whose father encouged him to catch his princess when she’s coming back to America.
There is another yound man in the film who’s a bit shy to his lover, he conceals his love even when she got married. But one evening, he took a stero and some paper boards with him knocking at the woman’s door. The door opened and the woman showed herself, the man lifted up the boards on where wrote the words he dared never said to her before. He showed the boards to the woman one by one. I cannot remember exactly what he wrote on the boards except the last word, which is " To me you are perfect". And this part is what I like most.
"To me you are perfect.", isn’t that what everyone want to say to their lovers?

exactly, to me you are perfect:)u know what, my fav part of that movie is between the office girl and her bf Daniel, the designer of the same company. she is shy too, actually very, with all the others around her already knew she has a crush on Daniel, she herself dare not take any actions before her boss' reminding. However, the most shining spot of this little story was not the love between she and Daniel, but that scene she spent in hospital with her crack-minded brother. It suddenly occurred to me that sacrifice can be a great part of love, and more magnificent sometimes.
It is interesting that such a big group of famous British stars, including my fav Collin Firth and many other such as Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, etc, took part in this litte cute movie:P

em... After reading your review, I'm gonna watch the movie again... I just find myself can't recall much details about that Karl and the lady, as well as what's happening between the boss and his wife.It seems that the only thing I can remember is that Karl is quite a cute guy wearing handsome glasses... :P
btw.. did you ever see the movie Serendipity? one of my friends has regarded that movie as a fairy tale which is comprised of all kinds of impossiblities, i still think one who like 'love actually' will love this movie also.
