对“戏谑一把信仰”这个评论深有同感，这两个lukewarm传教士明显对美女更感兴趣。 其实不是Norton演爱情片不行，the painted veil，the illusionlist，甚至25th hour里的拥抱都证明了Norton深情起来的也是迷得人神魂颠倒的。只是拘谨尴尬的Brian是角色要求，再加上剧本的限制，表演也算是不过不失吧。 女主角Jenna Elfman偶并不欣赏，看过她在looney tune里的表演，和这部里如出一辙，实在不需要什么演技，也许是片子没有给她发挥的空间。Ben stiller还是一如既往的喜剧面孔，偶就奇怪他这么多年怎么一点长进都没有呢？ 考虑到这片子纯为了轻松搞笑，顺道怀念Norton过世的母亲，所以期望也不用太高，作为周末的pastime还不错。...... 因为电影的缘故，借了书来看。 一开始看前面michael holroyd的介绍就觉得J.L.Carr具有类似于钱钟书的风格，一样的俏皮和促狭，Ellerbeck Literary Award那段真是好玩。等开始看正文，时不时地就看到一点围城的味道。一点点自嘲，一点点讽刺（当然，JLC的讽刺要温柔多了），还有一点点悲哀，一点点温情。Tom和Alice的结局让人想起围城里同样令人嗟叹不已的方鸿渐和唐晓芙。 有些地方因为缺乏文化和宗教的背景看起来比较吃力和枯燥，比如chapel和church的矛盾、教堂结构、宗教绘画题材等等，另外零零散散的Yorkshire口音也让人猜谜，而最让人郁闷得紧就数两个互相倾慕的人无疾而终缘吝一面了。但是那慵懒的夏日，缓缓的叙事，却有种让人安静的力量。......

对话非常有意思，很多对现实生活的讽刺，像junk food, couch potato，开费油SUV等等，还有就是对家庭、亲情和爱情的思考，比如最后shell-shocked Verne, :), 告诉RJ亲人间有时不太擅长表达情感；传承了shrek的风格。 就是bruce的声音听着不太像了，还有不知道Hammy the Squirrel喝了啥饮料竟然让时空静止，偶也想弄一瓶来试一试，呵呵...... (8回应)

内容太多，时间太短，好多书里的细微之处被一笔带过甚至砍掉了，不过还算是节奏紧凑扣人心弦，主线也还清晰。 不爽的是Jean Reno扮演的fache成了opus dei的一员还被bishop利用，书里好像并不是这样。......

strangely, I feel it not bad, even a little better than 'what a girl wants'. WAGW is totally a teen movie and I was obviously out of that period long time ago. Okay, I admit Heather Graham isn't good enough, but I do like the performance of Minnie Driver and, of course, Colin. I watched 'circle of friends' before. 就是为了轻松，就是为了搞笑，观众笑了目的就达到了。偶个人喜欢Seteve Martin的搞笑多过Jim Carry，后者夸张得有点太过了。 偶笑了，从头到尾。你呢？......

Starring Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins, like the latter's performance in "who framed Roger rabbit" BTW. A typical English movie with wit and humour even in the most depressing situation. It made me smile. ......

Still a lot of laughters, but not as impressive as the first one, repeated tricks wore out a little. Generally speaking it's a good pastime.......

Go and see how comic Robert DeNiro could be in this funny flick. Mob bosses could be not that serious and gangsters could be lighted up a little. I laughed from the beginning to the end. It will do the same to you too.......

This one isn't my favourite for sure even though Colin was still gorgeous in those clumsy period costumes. But you may like it if you're a fan of medieval Europe, the darkest period as I shall call it. What I don't like includes nudity and storyline. There are quite a few nudities involving Colin that I'm personally not very fond of. Well, my nerve just isn't strong enough. The story happened ......
