DJ wengweng

历经中国摇滚乐十年兴衰, 后投身电子音乐行列至今。
1997年开始在北京组织地下电子舞曲派对--其精湛的混音技艺和对节奏来自根源的理解--得到了崔健的充分认可并应邀加入崔建乐队，从1998-1999年底随崔建乐队进行了多场全国巡演。 在同崔健乐队合作期间并未停止地下舞曲派对的制作--并开始组建自己的派对厂牌。
2000年初同杨兵、will组建“中国打气工厂”china pump factory,开始在北京最著名的电子舞曲俱乐部“88号”club Vogue举办派对，并迅速成为北京中外party animal信任的团队。随后在club Loft的周五派对更是盛况空前，“中国打气工厂”经典的Pumping Beat每个周末都要持续到黎明。
2000年6月17日,“中国打气工厂”在金山岭长城成功举办了其第一次大型户外锐舞派对--其激动人心的场面让许多参加过此次活动的人们至今难以忘怀。随后的十三陵水库及野三坡户外party使户外锐舞派对成为时尚。
2000年10月,djwengweng创建“丝绒俱乐部”(velvet room),是当时北京最重要的地下电子舞曲俱乐部,其前卫先锋的音乐风格吸引了无数party animal。
2001年8月,djwengweng同杨兵、Ben Huang、有待前往瑞士苏黎世参加著名的Street parade电子音乐狂欢节并大受好评。同年12月再回苏黎世,在当地电子音乐重要俱乐部club Q举办House of china专场派对。
2003年,djwengweng同Ben Huang、有待创建Club FM俱乐部。楼上及地下多种不同音乐风格,俱乐部文化更趋多元,从复古的old school funk到House、techno，成为舞曲文化的大课堂。在经营俱乐部的同时djwengweng始终在坚持电子音乐的创作和推广,学习和钻研新的电子音乐制作技术,并在摩登天空发表作品。
2004年同DJ mickey赴瑞士日内瓦参加以实验音乐为主的elephanten音乐节,同当地音乐家进行交流。

2007年9月，在沉寂三年后djwengweng重新开始电子音乐之旅,同7位中国优秀的techno dJ成立ACUPUNCTURE RECORDS-“针刺疗法”电子音乐厂牌。在近一年内成功举办了数场主题派对:Minimal Hit,Beijing Techno All Star,Freak DJs,SPOOKED HALLOWEEN party,Genesis系列新年前夜派对，并迅速成为中国最具影响力的电子音乐团队。
2008年3月,djwengweng应瑞士洛桑奥林匹克博物馆邀请参加文化交流活动,同时在奥地利维也纳club planetarium、瑞士苏黎世club Q、日内瓦club Weetamix进行的演出获得广泛好评,为中国DJ在欧洲舞台赢得声誉。
2009年5月23日，djwengweng同Acupuncture records团队制作了中国第一场具有真正意义的户外电子音乐节－“INTRO 2009”,并取得巨大成功，国内外媒体给予高度评价，极大地推动了电子音乐文化在中国的影响。
随后在北京、天津、上海、济南、杭州、成都举行的China Tour中国巡演，djwengweng同团队DJ一起将Acupuncture records鲜明的minimal techno 风格带进国内城市主流俱乐部，令无数舞迷疯狂…
在举办各种电子音乐活动地同时，djwengweng和团队其他DJ也在积极进行创作, ACUPUNCTURE RECORDS作为国内知名电子音乐厂牌已经发行了自己的专辑、单曲，并吸引了数位国外电子音乐家和厂牌的合作。


Before emerging as one of the pioneers of China’s electronic music, Weng Weng established himself as a guitarist for ten years in China’s rock scene. In 1997, Weng Weng started organizing underground dance parties in Beijing. His consummate mixing techniques and profound understanding of grooves impressed China’s godfather of rock, Cui Jian, so much that he was asked to join Cui’s band on several nationwide tours in 1998 and 1999. While performing with Cui Jian’s band Weng Weng never stopped throwing underground dance parties.

In the early 2000, he founded “China Pump Factory” with Yang Bing and Will and started their party series at Beijing’s then best-known electronic music spot Club Vogue. “China Pump Factory” rapidly gained its fame among Chinese and foreign partiers in Beijing, and its regular Friday nights at Club Loft were always a full-house with their trademark pumping beats going from dusk till dawn. On June 17, 2000, “China Pump Factory” hosted the first ever outdoor rave party on the Great Wall, which was such an unforgettable night that it has been branded into people’s memories until today. In October 2000, Weng Weng established Club Velvet Room – the most important underground rendezvous spot for Beijing’s electronic music lovers who could never get enough of their pioneer sounds.

In August 2001, Swiss electronic DJ group CHEESE(Michael&Philip) invited four chinese djs went to Zurich,Weng Weng participated in Zürich’s “Street Parade” electronic music festival together with fellow Chinese DJs. Their performance gained colossal support from the crowd and they were asked to come back to Zürich again in December to spin for a special gig, “House of China”at Club Q . In 2003, Weng Weng, Ben Huang and You Dai opened Club FM, a two-story club that featured various music styles from old school funk to techno. While running Club FM, Weng Weng kept producing and promoting electronic music, studying new technologies and had releases with Modern Sky Records.

In September 2007, after three years of silence, Weng Weng made a comeback and established ACUPUNCTURE RECORDS together with the very top Chinese techno DJs. From regular club nights to big-scale warehouse parties, their events series SPOOKED, Genesis, Minimal Hit, Freak DJs swept Beijing by storm and have become household events brands in the party community.


In March 2008, Weng Weng was invited to participate culture exchange program at the Olympics Museum in Lausanne. His performance at Club Planetarium in Vienna, Club Q in Vienna and Club Weetamix in Geneva at the time also received great feedbacks and earned Chinese DJs reputation in Europe.

On Acupuncture Records' China Tour 2009, Weng Weng and his crew members brought the charm of their music to many other Chinese cities and earned a nationwide reputation. In May 2009, Acupuncture Records organized the groundbreaking INTRO 2009, China's first ever outdoor electronic music festival with 8,000 participants which received global recognition.

Meanwhile, Acupuncture has never stopped marching on the music production journey. With the release of their first EP <Ebb> in 2008, Acupuncture Records launched on world’s biggest DJ music download site, Beatport.com. It is the first time local DJs released through a Chinese label, and now that they are in the mix with the biggest tunes in the world, it’s a watershed moment for China’s electronic scene. Until now, Acupuncture has successfully released 3 EPs, 1 album, and has contributed to various projects of overseas labels.
