Well I am quite surprise and at the same time happy to see so many reactions

I would like to stress several points especially regarding people that are wondering why taking pictures of old china, poor people, old people...
1 – Photo is part of arts – and as a result photograph could be more or less an artist and of course form where I come artists have free expression and freedom in their art. – so people could be pleased or unpleased with the pictures taken – as far I treat all subjects with respect and dignity, I do not see good or bad pictures – Photography is the free to take pictures with his sensibility, creativity, imagination, eyes and heart.
To the person that suggested I should take pictures of the modern china and why taking pictures of old and/or poor people – well – taking pictures is also an exchange, I admit some time very brief with the subject 1/60s, 1.500s but beauty could be found in many place. If I was taking pictures of all these little treasures or Barbie girls in Shanghai or anywhere else in so called modern city of China– this will be done will less respect than the one I had when I took pictures during my trips like the one of Guangxi.
So in conclusion, I really appreciate to read all these messages, I just want to add a final point; I will always welcome critics on what I am doing. I completely accept that people may like or dislike what I am doing – I think it is fair and it helps me to improve continuously.
But I will always have disdain and disregard to people that say you should not take this kind of pictures or you better take this kind of pictures... for me they are only censors and it is the worse species on earth. And please do not be too short memory.


I am really touched by of these sympathy and kindness messages and even some invitations to visit your home town – I really wish I could have more time because I am sure you will show your China.
