Who are we? / What is Artdepot?
This is Artdepot.cn, we are selling contemporary art online. The website has just started running at Aug, 2nd.Our company is set up in the US, but the work team members are all over the world—China, Italy, Japan... And now most of our works are made by Chinese artists. We devote ourselves to advising excellent Chinese artists to the world.
Most of our artists we advice on Artdepot are still young, that means their creation is on a rising stage. Also, we have some works made by famous artists, such as FengZhengjie, Yang Shaobin, Guo Wei, YangQian. We select works on the basis of merit, regardless of previous exposure or experience.
We appreciate very much of the diversity of art, never discriminate against any works made of strange materials. Now we have painting, sculpture, new media, and many different kind of art. What we really care in selecting art is whether the works contains contemporary quality and creativity.
The Internet is still revolutionizing the way business is done in all sectors of the economy and the art world is no exception.Before Artdepot, we have run a Chinese website: www.artcangku.com for more than one year, whichwas one of the first websites to sell first hand contemporary art on the Internet in China. During this time, we have setup good relationship with nearly 300 artists, that means we have nearly 4000 first hand works of art resounce. In the past 1 year, we have successfully sold more than 100 works of art. Our clients are from China, France, America and Japan, and we have got very nice reputation from them.
