Smile is the movie those parents would've wanted their son to see. It's nowhere near as entertaining, but it means well, and it delivers a positive message: a spoiled Malibu teen learns to put the triviality of her own problems into perspective after an eye-opening school trip to Shanghai. Written and directed by Jeffrey Kramer (who based the story on his own daughter's experiences abroad), Smile ......

After i saw the premiere, this movie was being added to my "Stupid movie list", I think that It currently sits a top of my list . I only can summarize it with one word "stupid". Alas, the movie isn't nearly as amusing as its premise. JUST can't help laughing.....suppose this was not a comedy... inanition dialogue, silly drama, mmm ^^^^......

This is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. Some people may not appreciate it because it is a "different" type of comedy. It is nothing like "Meet the Fockers" or "Dodgeball" but is in a different league of it's own. A gorgeous, delightful, dark and inviting film, I loved every moment of this. It's as smart as paint and everything that most teen films are not. Pawlikowski, who's already produced one classic with The Last Resort, is fast becoming an umisseable director. I am a big fan of indie films, I have been seen it before and turned around and saw it again on Saturday. If anything, the second time I felt like it was over FASTER, which I suppose is another sign of how exquisite this film is. It is one of the saddest films I have seen, and but it treats the pain of war in an unblinking way, recognizing that some of us simply are not equipped to carry that pain......
