The Last and Best moment of Richard II

It was the last day of Richard II.
I was waiting for him at the door of Donmar before the evening show with Faye. It was almost 18: 20 and there he came, alone in the dawn of day. There were only few snowflakes falling from the sky.
I gave him a book I brought from China. It's about some mysterious stories in ancient time. I thanked him for his inspiring characters like Jack Jackson and Osmund and of course Richard. He seems genuinely interested in the illustrations on the book page, those are weird animals like Jack did in Pillars of the earth. I told him he didn't have to read this because even in my country not a few people can understand. He smiled at me, looked inside the book, said, "oh no, I definitely will read."
Then I asked him about the sketches in Birdsong. He said he did draw but those were not his work.
I cannot help myself before I asked the question when I saw Richard II, I starred at his hand and asked "Eddie, can I shake your royal hand? " If you saw the play, you'll get it.
He laughed hard, said, of course, then he posed a royal guest and shook my hand. I asked can I get a hug, too? Then he hugged me, for real, very tight, like a real hug that can warm my heart.
Then he came inside.
Later the storm came, it snowed so heavily that London soon became a white city. So beautiful that this was the best moment in my life, so far.
I know everything will get better from this moment on, even if I might never see him again in my life.
