>> My childhood

 
           In 1988.March.14 ( the date when Albert Einstein was born ) I was born in a small city of Hunan, where there is also Chairman Mao’s hometown. I had a harmonious faimliy. My father was a clerk of a farm machinery company, my mother worked in a chemistry lab of a chemical factory. So I had the chances to get close to such kinds of things related to mechanical or chemical field. When I was 4 or 5 years old, my mother was transfered to the telephone switchboard room of the factory to work, where I got my first sight to the vacuum tube. My father also told me some knowledge of the machines. Then the most memorable thing I can remember is that, he got a little motor from a electric toy and a propeller from another one, and made up a electric fan with with them. From that time I had got interested in electronic gadget. Those two years, I let all my electronic toys broken, and got the littlte motors in their bodies, I built a great ship liked a aircraft carrier with them... And I also can remember that when i sent a signal made by a little motor into the Mic In socket, a powerful sound was come out from the speaker, it sounded like an engine... Hehe...There were many interesting stories between I and electronic gadgets in my childhood, if you want to know more I could tell you, hehe...

 

 

>> At the age of 9 or 10, music came to my life. 


           At the age of 9 or 10, music came to my life. My mother gave me the only tape player in my home which she had got it in her young ages. The first legal music tape I bought was an OST of  a Japan cartoon movie called Detective Conan, I was so interested in this kinds of music, because there were kinds of sounds I had never heared before, such as the special effect of eletric guitar’s sound, strange sounds made by the synth.And now I know that there were some Jazz, Rock and Electronic element in it, it is called Fusion.

 

 

>> 2 years of depressionn


           From 1998 to 1999, that's a special period of my home, as the Economic Restructured in our country, both of my parents were out of works. They     opened a shop for living and for my school fees, I spent all my free time in the shop, sometimes I helped my parents with the business, and played with the bad boys nearby, I was dragged down by them slowly.But luckly, my mother always taught me to be a good boy, I still gratitude to my mother for her instruction now. And at the free time in the shop I also did some creations, I can remember that I got an old telephone set from the school office and took it apart, I found there were many interesting things in it, a mechanical ringer,a pulse dial set and some other old type components, actually there were many fun things in our shop, as the shop sold all kinds of flowers, pet-birds, fish, ornate trees and the provision of garden design services, I had much fun with them, though it was the depressionn of my home and I was affected by the bad street guys. 

 

 

>> 6 years of booklore learning


           When I began to study at the junior middle school, I was forced to study hard by my parents. My father didnt allow me to play with my electronic toys any more. But I also found interestings in the study. I enjoyed myself in learning math, geometry, physics, chemistry and geography, I like all kinds of natural science, though I found my algebra skills is not so good. And I also got intereted in a kind of music called Rock 'n' Roll in those years,which gave me much encouragement. This period of time had lasted for 6 years untill 2006 when I ended my senior middle school study.

 

 

>> In the year of 2003, I met guitar.

 
           That year I was 15, graduated from my junior middle school. One of my best friends lived near my home was learing guitar at an amateur school nearby, one day he took me to his home, showed me his guitar, and I was just fascinated by the sound of this instrument. Several days later my mother took my to Changsha(the Hunan Province's provincial capital), and bought a guitar for me. I can still remember that the scene that I carried my guitar standed on the crossroads of Changsha. From that time I have woven a long lasting tie with guitar,with rock and folk music. They are my youth : positive and sorrow.

 

 

>> Sound produced by the effector : Metal

 
           When I got my acoustic guitar not so long later. I knew there is a kind of thing called effector could produce powerful sound, that is just the metal music. I'm very fond of the Metal Symphonic music, but I also like the original classical music, like Paganini, Chopin and Bach. So what I really want is to inosculate the science and art. I know it's not so easy, but I want ot try it.  I think there are two ways to implement it. The one is Synth (linear) and the other is Effector (non-linear). I can remember that there was a very old synth keyboard on the bookshelf in my bedroom when I was quite young, maybe it's just a toy. When I was 15, I took it apart, there were 4 or 5 ICs and many other RC-components on the PCB, it is just a simple analog computer. So I think synth is a rational(mechanical) instrument, though the touch sens keyboard was invented. But effector module is another thing, they are nonlinear, they distort sound, powerful or limp, it is perceptual. I like the sound of them, for example Cacophony.-.[Speed Metal Symphony] is a good job.

 

 

>> I met Jazz, when I was 18


            The year of 2006 is a hard year for me. All of my classmates were studying hard for the university entrance exam, but I was adagio reading some extracurricular books, such as Kafka, Kundera and A Concise History Of Jazz. I did dislike the exam-oriented education, I hate that doing the boring paper day by day, writting the inane composition again and again, computing the thoughtless math problems one by one... I liked reading the book named A Concise History Of Jazz in class, in fact I didnt like Jazz, I prefered Blues, but I found some important things in Jazz, that is freedom. They came from the Negros, just like Jazz. I like classical music, but I dont like mouldy old things, just like the fixed education. Jazz is just that thing, they renew old things. 

 

 

>> My college life


            Boycotted the exam-oriented education, I had to take the college entrance examination of 2006, and admitted by this college (University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Zhongshan Institute) with not so good marks. After a grief and indignation period of time ( those days I was extremely progressive and rock, I even wanted to be a wandering minstrel in Beijing ! ), I returned to my normal life. I met some new kinds of music, such as neo-classical,neo-folk. And I also continued my studys, studied the analog circuitry (my algebra skill is not so good), I got the idea of magnetical vacuum tube, and did a experiment. In the last few month, I learnt the solid-state electronics in a step further. and I;m meeting some trouble in the vacuum electronics learning now. In the coming semester I want to learn some knowledge of the organic semiconductor, I think there maybe some new useful things for ideas...
