Born 1986 in Shanghai, China, Koli Bingxia Yu is now a media artist based in Buffalo, New York and a MFA candidate in Department of Media Study, State University of New York at Buffalo.

Her concept-oriented works use digital video and interactive/network technology to explore new possibilites of expanded cinema, particularly in constructing alternative spatial perspectives and augmented spatial situations.

She is currently in residence at the Public Art/New Artistic Strategies MFA program of Bauhaus University at Weimar, Germany.

Previously, she translated Six Walks in the Fictional Wood by Umberto Eco and has written extensively for numerous news media in Shanghai, China.
