got half of the pk14 setlist! decided that i am not going to try to talk to them, there's no need for me to try to be friends with them or anything.

xiao he was incredible, awesome -- apparently pretty drunk before he even started soundcheck.

these are powers played last, in the headlining spot, AGAIN. not fair. i hold this against them. fuck brooklyn.

yelled a lot during carsick cars --和声，中南海，志愿的人... hipster guy yelled too.

my throat hurts.

pk14 played 伊甸园，有些意外法身地太早，a new song called 1984 ("hope you have read this book by george orwell"), 每种分离背后的疼痛, 北方灵歌, 另一边, 一些点zhuo -- got tired but still, pretty good moshing (maybe i drank a bit too much before they started). felt my glasses about to fly off my head.

by the end of the night, xiao he was completely wasted, freaking with random women, attempting to grope two members of these are powers as they were trying to perform on stage, grabbing their stage monitor and flipping it around so that it was emitting sound downward into the stage. he is our new hero.

　　AND in the middle of the xiao he set, all of his sound cut out (pk14 had a lot of speaker problems too) and he was sort of left with nothing to do because they didn't even have someone on the soundboard -- so he jumped up and said OKAY NOW, CHINESE DANCE! and grabbed some poor middle aged looking bearded guy in a nice coat out of the audience and started trying to dance with him onstage and play with his red scarf. i really hope that was alex ross from the new yorker!!!!!
　　
　　when the show was over, for some reason i became really enthusiastic when i found about 90 RMB in my bag, i gave it to tom (young hipster) and yelled at him to donate it to the bands -- apparently he and eden went over and he just handed them the money and everyone was totally, totally confused ("uh, that's not enough for a cd..." "no, just take it, i want to give it to you" "??" "........")

lots of chinese people there, but most of them just wanted to gawk.
some dickheads at front right actually brought barstools and sat on them right in front of the stage. too many photographers.

some poor college kid visiting from san diego was there for the shows and was taking photos, for the entire pk14 set i was ordering him to put his goddamn camera away, by the end i was yelling at him, including when he was trying to talk to this chinese girl in a carsick cars shirt.

later in pk14 set: "you're pissing me off"

probably scared him...

people just hated us for moshing. especially this huge bald white guy
who was doing some exaggerated slam dancing performance -- some woman
standing on our left looked like she was about to punch him -- plus
some motionless chinese looking kids to our right i think i heard
making judgmental comments. they were between us and the idiots
sitting on stools. ken: "i think these guys behind me looked really
angry, i think they were russian"

moshing is fun. you shouldve moshed the people sitting on barstools thats fucking fail. it was the same way at the sing for china tour at purdue, but once the moshing started it was all good
