Capricorn Horoscope for July 2009

This has all the makings of a memorable month for you, dear Capricorn! The eclipses are back, but this time they will begin to fall in a new family of signs - yours! Two eclipses are due this month: the first, a full moon lunar eclipse on July 7 in Capricorn, and then later, a new moon solar eclipse on July 21 in the sign that is found directly opposite yours on the wheel, Cancer. A series of eclipses in these signs will continue to come by, arriving in pairs every six months for two years until you have seen eight in all.
By time you reach July 2011, you will have seen eight eclipses, four in Capricorn and four in Cancer. Each time they arrive, they will fall in differing mathematical degrees, so you won't likely feel every one of the eight, only the ones that touch specific parts of your chart.
Eclipses are always dramatic, for they bring unexpected and often completely unrelated developments from the outside in, and this means there's a good chance you'll change your priorities, goals, and timetables. For example, you may have planned to get engaged after you finished graduate school, but something may come up this month to cause you to want to get engaged immediately, without the wait!
You, of course, will be at the center of all that is going on because the eclipses are highlighting your sign, but you won't feel equally all eight eclipses that are due. You will feel only the ones that mathematically touch your Sun or other planets in your natal chart. No need to wonder - you will know for sure very soon - within days of reading this! You are very fortunate in that the eclipses of July will be friendly, so the changes you see happening now will work to your favor.
As I mentioned, the first eclipse will come on July 7 and will be a lunar eclipse in Capricorn. All lunar eclipses are full moons, and they tend to bring an ending or culmination to a certain endeavor, situation, or relationship. After this eclipse appears, you will be able to see which endeavors, obligations, or relationships you'd like to nurture and grow and which ones you'd like to end.
Saturn, your ruler, will send this eclipse a fine golden beam, giving you the opportunity to stabilize your life in a way you may never have been able to accomplish before this. Pluto is now in Capricorn at one degree, considered a very forceful and energetic degree, giving you amazing power and authority. There is almost no plan too big or too difficult to tackle, for the world is now your oyster. Your sheer determination should lead you to victory.
If you are in love, there's a strong indication you will move forward on an engagement or serious promise to your significant other.

While the July 7 eclipse might highlight a relationship, it could be about just about anything. Its main function will be to help you see fulfillment to a dream that is important to you, and only you can say what that happens to be.

Often a puzzle piece comes floating down from the sky, and once it lands in your hands, you'll snap it into place and have the complete picture. The eclipse in Cancer will be a new moon solar eclipse on July 21, and this will bring you a chance to merge energies with another person. That may be in marriage or in business. This new moon will open a whole new path for you in the months ahead. Opportunity to forge a serious relationship (or to cement one you are in now) will likely strike suddenly, thanks to a beam from Uranus - but even so, because Uranus will be so encouraging this month, you'll likely be thrilled! If your birthday falls on January 19, or within five days of this date, you will feel the effects of this eclipse more than most Capricorns.
This month, especially near July 7, you may see a woman leave your life - she may be a relative or friend. This may happen for any number of reasons, but an eclipse of the moon (which is always feminine) often means a woman will be "eclipsed out" of your everyday life. Perhaps your Mom will move house because she'd like to live in a sunny, warm climate, or a good friend will marry and you won't see one another as much anymore. If you were not born near January 5, this won't likely apply to you.
Conversely, at the solar eclipse July 21, you may see a man depart from your life. Again, if you were not born near January 19, this won't apply to you.
Eclipses have a very wide area of influence, so you may not see changes in July but rather later, in August (within four days of August 5 or 21) or in some cases, even later, in the few months ahead. When the radical changes hit, you'll know that they were unlike any you had experienced before. Big events follow eclipses.
I know I had a major eclipse on my Sun when I was only four years old - the very year my sister was born seven months later. Curious, I looked up the chart of my oldest daughter, Christiane, and saw she also had a major eclipse on her birthday when she was three years old. Her sister, my youngest, Diana, was born two months later that year.
Changes in the family structure often take place in years we have an eclipse in our sign. Also, it is common to move to a new space soon after the eclipse appears. The moon (being eclipsed) rules family, home, real estate, and the overall domestic condition, so it is common to see changes in these areas. In your case, the moon ALSO rules your solar seventh house of close committed relationships so you may see an interesting development in terms of a romantic or business relationship, too. All the areas lit up for you are big areas, so your life may be ready to undergo an exciting change on several fronts. If you don't feel this eclipse, there will be many more in the two years to come, arriving every six months. The next ones are due December 31 and January 15. Whatever comes, you are ready, dear Capricorn.
Now let's turn to other events in your life this month.
Financially, you should have a strong month, especially if you work in the arts, are paid for your ideas, or are part of the team supporting creative people. Jupiter is still traveling close to Neptune in your earned income area (second house), a wonderful configuration. These two planets will meet in perfect conjunction, a rare aspect to happen July 10. See if you get good news on this day! The reason I am focusing on the arts here is that Neptune is associated with music, dance, painting, poetry, and other expressions. Neptune is considered a patron of all the arts. If you are an artist or if you are on the support team of an artist, you will do well.
If you are NOT in the arts, then you need to be very realistic and not have overblown expectations of a financial deal on the table. Look at it carefully, go over it with your lawyer, and decide if your assumptions are correct.
One other day that should prove excellent for hearing good financial news concerning your earned income will be July 27 when Venus and Jupiter will be so sweetly, and smartly, engaged in conversation on your behalf.
Travel possibilities will come up for you throughout the month, and although it looks more likely that you will travel very short distances, you'll still enjoy time spent in any new setting. Uranus will be very prominent in your chart, adding that special note of excitement and surprise.
Your best times to take a trip will be in the first week of July, especially near July 7, when an opportunity to pack and go will likely come up very unexpectedly.
Then later, over the weekend of July 16-17, Uranus will send a beam to the mighty Sun, causing you to find the perfect weekend spot to visit. Your need to escape everyday routine will be enormous at this time, so be spontaneous! A trip would be the right idea to make you feel refreshed again.

I say this because at that time, Mars will still be journeying through your fifth house of true love, the very place you would want Mars to be. Alternatively you may decide to travel a short distance, and again you'll be doing all the right things to encourage love.
