Jim Parsons (born March 24, 1973) is an American television and film actor, best known as "Sheldon Cooper, Ph. D., M.Sc.", on the sitcom The Big Bang Theory.
　　
　　Parsons played the role of Tim, the Medieval Times knight, in the film Garden State. Jim also appeared in a scene in the movie, "School for Scoundrels," as one of Jon Heder's fellow classmates. He had a recurring role as Rob Holbrook on Judging Amy and currently stars in the television series The Big Bang Theory with Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco. In the Big Bang Theory, he portrays a genius-level physicist with two Ph. D.s and a Master's degree.
　　
　　Parsons was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Klein Oak High School in 1991. He was voted "friendliest" of his graduating class. He received a B.A. in theater from the University of Houston. While in college, he helped create Infernal Bridegroom Productions, a not-for-profit theater company. He acted in many productions, including Endgame, Guys and Dolls and The Balcony. Parsons currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. Q: How do you memorize the dialogue because it’s not only intricate but you do it to an extent where it almost seems like you actually know what you’re talking about even though it was written by a team of guys who are probably constantly referencing textbooks.

Jim Parsons: I’ll tell you. I try to find out what I’m talking about. When I first get the script, sometimes they define things in the script for me.

Jim Parsons: Yep. A lot of the time, I’ll go online. I’m very good friends with Dictionary.com and Wikipedia. And then as far as literally memorizing the words, I’ll have note cards. I do note cards all week. And in longhand, I write out all my lines again and again and again. And on the weekends, I drill them. I walk around with my note cards for each scene and do one scene at a time. And I’ll go to my computer, and I’ll type the whole scene out on my word doc and then I’ll go back and I’ll do the second scene, and I’ll type the whole scene out on a word doc. It’s maddening. I will not lie to you. I literally want to kill myself sometimes.

说实话，我有时候看他侃侃而谈那些艰深词汇和理论的时候也很好奇，他是怎么把那么诡异的东东流利得讲出来的。。。要我非疯了不可。。。

大家都知道的，我就不多说了，比如73年生，白羊座，老家是德州休斯顿，身高1米88（好高！）
说些可能不知道的吧：

1. 昵称: Jimmy Pea（吉米小豌豆，哈哈哈哈）因为他的大名叫Jim Parsons
2. 小学时出演的第一部学校舞台剧的角色是一只鸟。^ - ^
3. 拍摄“生活大爆炸”的前一天总是会紧张，因为害怕忘记台词。
