翻译问题

巴特勒在Subjects of Desire这本书的再版序言中有这样一句话：What is the relation between desire and recognition, and how is it that the constitution of the subject entails a radical and constitutive relation to alterity?这也是她关注问题的核心，尤其是alterity这个词怎么翻译，我觉得应该也是他人或他者的意思，可果真如此的话，与other或otherness又有什么区别，请高人赐教。

我觉得alterity更多的是一种他者性。
大家都来说，一起来说alterity ，other和otherness在巴特勒那里是怎么回事儿。

alterity翻译成“他者性”比较合适
other=他者
otherness=他性
　　
另外这里所说的“他者”只是一个象征性的位置
任何人或物都可能占据此一位置从而建构主体
所以在中文语境下可以将“other”转译为“彼者”

问个题外话,例如拉康理论里的想像界, image包含的是alterity还是otherness itself?

这个问题我想了很久，觉得有了比较满意的答案：所谓alterity乃是和sameness对应的词，后者意为同一性，表示identical的意思，而后者则意为他异性，而other他者则与self自我想对应，仅供大家批评。

other,others,the Other翻译也不应该一样，他们的地位也不一样。
