平稳地走在这纷纷扰扰、匆匆忙忙之中，

请记住，寂静之中有一种怎样的平和。

尽你所能，不卑不亢，

与每一个人友好相处。

安静地、清晰地把你的真理告诉别人，

同时也要倾听别人，

即使是愚笨的、无知的人们，

他们也有自己的故事。

远离叫嚣的、好斗的人，

他们会让你的心灵充满烦恼。

如果你总是拿自己和别人比较，

你会变得虚荣和痛苦，

因为总会有人比你差，也总会有人比你强。

按自己的计划去行动，享受每一份成就。

不论多么卑微，对你自己的职业保持兴趣。

命运多变，世事难料，职业才是你真正的立身之本。

对待生意上的事，一定要谨慎小心，

因为世界充满了各种欺骗。

但也不要因此对美德视而不见，

还是有很多人在追寻更高的理想，

生活中仍然不乏行侠仗义的好汉。

做真实的自己，尤其不要虚情假意，

更不能鄙视真心的爱情。

这正像大自然的野草，

盛衰枯荣，年复一年。

温和地听取老人的忠告，

优雅的接受青年的事物，

不断培育精神的力量，以应对突发的不幸。

但不要让阴暗的想象折磨自己，

很多恐惧皆来自疲惫和孤独。

在有益健康的生活纪律之外，

对待自己也要温柔一点。

你只不过是宇宙的孩子，

与植物、星辰没什么两样，

你有权利生活在这个世界上。

不论你明白或不明白，

宇宙总是运行在自己的轨道上。

因此，平静地和信仰同在，

不论你相信它是何物。

也不论你付出多少努力，有什么样的渴望，

在生活的嘈杂和混乱之中，

请保持心灵的平静。

尽管世界有种种虚伪、劳累和破灭

但它依然美丽

所以鼓起勇气，寻求快乐！

Desiderata /Max Ehrmann

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender

Beyond a wholesome discipline,

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.
