电视迷你剧"House of cards"（《纸牌屋》）改编自Michael Dobbs所著的同名政治惊悚小说，从1990年开始被BBC分三部曲搬上银幕，每一部分为4集，每集时长57分30秒。

2000年British Film Institute (BFI)评选的“100部英国最优秀的电视节目”中排名第84位。
2010年英国《卫报》评选的“史上五十佳英美剧”中排名第18位。
