The graduation work of the composer in Shanghai Conservatory.
Op.3 Symphonic Suite “Yunnan Tone Poem” (1963) 30’
The final movement “Torch Festival” is one of the most popular Chinese orchestral pieces in the world, which has been performed in over 20 countries around the world, nearly 40 cities, and more than 20 conductors have ever conducted this work.
Score published by People’s Music Publishing House (1983, Beijing), CD records released by CRC (China Record Corporation, 2002, Beijing), Nuova Era (the title is translated as Yunnan Scenes, 1992, Italy) and HUGO (1998, Hong Kong).
