Roger Ebert 影评馆 ~ Awake In the Dark小组


	创建于2008-02-14 组长：伊莎貝的魔衣櫥在众多美国电影评论家中，Roger Ebert是我颇喜欢的一位。先来看看一位影评大家是如何养成的: Ebert早年毕业于伊利诺伊大学(University of Illinois)英文系，1967年的时候正式开始为芝加哥太阳时报(Chicago Sun-Times)撰写影评，直至今日。1975年的时候拿到了Pulitzer Prize for criticism。同年，他在电视上开始了与另一位影评人Gene Siskel长达二十几年的影评节目"Siskel&Ebert"。1999年老搭档Siskel去世之后，节目由Richard Roeper接手，变成了"Ebert&Roeper"。除了作为专业的影评家外，他自1969年起就在芝加哥大学艺术学院教电影。1999年的时候更是在他的母校伊利诺伊大学创办了Overlooked Film Festival，关注被忽略或冷落的好电影。Ebert每年都会出一本Movie Yearbook，收录他在这一年写过的所有影评。Great Movies(I&II)则是他一手挑选的历史上经典电影的合集。 Ebert的文字隽永优美，深入浅出，流畅之余又透露出一位老式文人特别的书卷气。大师们的精髓技巧对他而言早已烂熟于心。经过他的提炼，电影的一切奥秘娓娓道来，似一篇篇心灵小品胜过影评。字里行间，可以感受到作为一位影评人的他与这些佳作之间不可分割的关系，以及他本身对于电影融入骨血般的热爱。他决不鼓吹某一种观念，而是帮助读者从他的专业角度去更好的理解和分析电影，从而形成自己特殊的电影观。我常常是在睡前读几篇，对于看过的电影，脑子里就会响应文字形成特别清晰的画面回放。很过瘾。 "We live in a box of space and time. They allow us to enter other minds-not simply in the sense of identifying with the characters, although that is an important part of it, but by seeing the world as another person sees it. Francois Truffaut said that for a director it was an inspiring sight to walk to the front of a movie theater, turn around, and look back at the faces of the audience, turned up to the light from the screen. If the film is any good, those faces reflect an out-of-the-body experience. The audience for a brief time is somewhere else, sometime else, concerned with lives that are not its own.
