本活动源自西方，是一种以布鲁斯（蓝调）音乐现场演出为主体的活动形式。旨在专门为热爱布鲁斯音乐的乐手提供一个练习与交流平台，并非指定的乐队演出或者即兴演出。本活动的目的是鼓励、推进和培养布鲁斯乐手的才能，并给每个乐手表演的机会、舞台和经验。活动内容包括唱布鲁斯歌曲和布鲁斯乐器演奏。我们希望这个活动可以为昆明音乐文化和氛围的进步和发展做出了贡献也同时希望可以给喜欢听蓝调的朋友们一种很舒服听音乐的环境。
为了让这个活动办得更顺利，我们希望参加的所有乐手可以提前安排自己想表演的些布鲁斯歌曲（比如，那些历史上经典布鲁斯歌曲叫做《Blues Standards》）。然后，自己到了活动以后，就跟主持人报名和商量如何想演奏。如果自己对这些经典布鲁斯歌曲还不太了解，没关系，我们还是很欢迎你来上台跟乐队玩。我们通过这个过程，大家的演奏水平和对布鲁斯音乐的理解会更快互相提高。我们欢迎热爱布鲁斯音乐的朋友们前来表演（无论处于什么水平）或观看！
注：1 - 由于活动在酒吧的进行，只有18岁以上的客人允许参加
2 - 文林记忆酒吧会提供架子鼓、电贝斯音箱和电吉他音箱。不过，其他的乐器
（如：贝斯、吉他、键盘、萨克斯、小号和口琴等）和些其他的自己需要的设备需要
参加活动的乐手自己准备。谢谢大家的理解！
An Introduction to the “Blues Jam”:
Blues Jam is a musical ¬performance activity which originated in the West. It’s specific purpose is to provide Blues musicians and enthusiasts with a stage on which with other musicians, they can practice and perform Blues music. It is not a specific band's concert nor is it a group improvisation, but is instead designed to encourage, foster and nurture Blues talent and give those who love to play the Blues a practice and performance opportunity. It is our hope that the Blues Jam will contribute to the on-going development of the music culture and environment in Kunming as well as give Blues music fans a place where they can listen to live Blues music!.
The benefit of the Blues Jam is through this process, musicians’ performance level and knowledge of the Blues will mutually increase. In order to make for a smooth-running Blues Jam, we request that participants prepare ahead of time the music they wish to perform, which preferably would be those known as “Blues Standards”. However, if that is not possible, we still welcome you to join us together on stage and play. We welcome the participation of all musicians regardless of experience level.
We express a very special "Thank You" to the Wenlin Memento Music Bar for allowing us to conduct this activity at their location as well as providing use of their musical equipment and stage!
