Something about the movies

Today the four movies are impressive, especially the last two.

<In complete World> gives people some hints through so many simple questions, like "r u satisfied?""What the government can do for u?""Does climate change really exist?""What else do you want to say?"...... If asked these questions, our answers may vary or alike, but I find that Americans are not so clear about themselves and their government as I thought, in a way, they are the same as Chinese. Do not know much about politics, constant complaints, lack of thinking critically and not responsible enough......As a human-being, I think everybody faces the same question: how to live? And that question gives birth to a series of new questions: about politics, nature, rights, oppotunities, self-realization, etc. They always blame the government, for tax or for the war in Iraq, but they don't even think they are responsible for it; they complain the government, controlled by some rich people, not give any equal oppotunities to everyone, but when asked what they want the government to do for them, there are plenty of silences and delayed replies. Maybe next time when we were going to establish an opinion, a clear logic and causes/results should be presented in our mind, for responsibility.

<The Age of Stupid> is also thought-provoking. In the vedio there are several people, with conflicts inside and outside, "struggling" in the "livable" earth. The old frenchman, who saw the changing of seasons, exactly summer ends then comes winter, more or less represents a peaceful character: though aware of the reality, just do some practical things to contribute. In comparison, the Englishman Piers and his family did something more "practical", but frustrated by such a rediculous reason: aerogenerators are not proper for the landscape of the town. They are the one who take actions. Similarly, Iian(forgot the name), the American, much close to ordinary people: voluntarily left to face Katrina and saved many victims' life, lived a environment friendly life after retiring from the oil field. He is a controdiction himself, his words are very meaningful,"yeah, I've done well. People have to find a job, they need to live. And now ..." with a sophiscated expression on his face. Yeah, they are all people live in the developed country, what about developing ones? India, a man posing the determination of eliminating poverty from the world, runs a company participating in the competition of low prices airplanes. More planes, lower prices, more profits, more jobs? He talked about the demand and the supply, the consumer, but does he realize that planes, just what he is running for, is producing the most greenhouse gases? Can you find a balance between development and environmental cost? So, where is the sustainable way? Let's see children in Iraq, people in Africa, for the reason of oil, how much they've been suffered and suffering and will suffer? Why should they be the scapegoat, which reminds me the 377 Inupiat Eskimos in <My Super Sea Wall>. At last, the leading role in 2055 can only find a surprise in people's flannelling and nonfeasance, collect the records for people who will have it, because it's too late for the ones in 2055. Still early for us, right?

I have a new vision for climate change, which involve more parties: citizens, governments, enterprises, NGOs. Contradiction is everywhere, so what? We still need a path to get out, as for me, must indeed.

Deal with Climate Change, we can do a lot, believe me.
