Working in Berlin, Sydney and Manila, Maria Cruz is an advocate of a more speculative and socially aware role for art. Curated by Jo Holder 'Oo (yes)' presents a selection of paintings produced over the last decade or so, a new video piece created in the Philippines, and several installations - translations of the small 'sari-sari' street stores in Manila.

Gallery floortalk: Wednesday 28 October 4-5pm, followed by refreshments

Join Maria Cruz, Jo Holder and Dr Anne Cranny-Francis, Professor of Cultural Studies, UTS for a lively discussion exploring ideas surrounding the exhibition and the notion of translations across contemporary cultural production.
